Family Worship Center Church was started in 2005, by Thomas and Melissa Climer. They were both saved and had a Glorious Encounter with Jesus Christ on January 31, 1999 and soon thereafter, they were called into the Ministry.

Being led by the Spirit of God, they moved from Middle Tennessee to East Tennessee, where God began to teach them in a greater way how to keep a relationship with Him and reveal to them the Message that had changed their lives, “Christ and Him Crucified,” 1 Corinthians 1:23. After residing in Loudon for six years, Thomas and Melissa felt the call to step out and start a Church, as directed by the Lord, they did this in their home. After several months, a tugging from the Holy Spirit prompted their hearts to relocate to Athens, where Family Worship Center met in rented facilities until 2011 when the Lord gave the Church a building of our own where we are currently located: 250 County Road 378, Athens, TN 37303.

The Lord is greatly Blessing this Church, because of the Message that is being preached, with souls being saved and lives being changed.

We want to welcome anyone who is a part of and who will become a part of what Jesus Christ is doing here at Family Worship Center.
